Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony with Beacon International College, Singapore and Global Academy of Hospitality & Management, Sri Lanka.
In July 2020, Mdm Lee Hian, the CEO and Principal of Beacon International College and Daminda Perera, the CEO of Global Academy of Hospitality & management signed a MOU to enter into course collaboration.
Mdm Lee Hian shared, "Global Academy shares similar core values (Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Caring Spirit, Diligence) with Beacon. Both Global Academy and Beacon also aims to continually foster the spirit of academic excellence, innovation, diligence and integrity among our staff and students. Beacon is proud to be working with Global Academy, who has the foresight and ability to bring to reality the possibility of providing quality international education for students in Sri Lanka and the region."
During the signing ceremony, Daminda Perera, the CEO of Global Academy of Hospitality & Management, said, "At Global Academy we want the best for our students. We believe that both academic excellence and character molding is the key to success. This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to provide quality higher learning to the students of Global Academy, and our ability to groom and send our students to top universities through our collaboration with Beacon. We are ready to provide world class education to our students.”
Ms. Chua Sing Zhi, Deputy CEO of Beacon International College was also present at the signing ceremony. She said, "Through our collaboration with Global Academy, we add value and create opportunities for students from Global Academy, Sri Lanka. Most importantly, this collaboration will strengthen the quality of Global Academy students whilst they compete for limited enrollment into Beacon International College’s programs in Singapore.”
Ms Teena Gupta Perera, Deputy CEO of Global Academy of Hospitality & Management was also present at the signing ceremony. Ms Teena shares the long term strategic plans of Global Academy and aims to establish more collaborative programs in Sri Lanka for the students. She hopes to promote Sri Lanka as an international study destination within the regions of Asia and Africa.
